Newcastle upon Tyne
Newcastle Upon Tyne is located in the region of Northumberland, home to England’s most tranquil national park, as well as the world-famous Hadrian’s Wall, a stunning ‘necklace’ of Roman wall and forts which form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Northumberland boasts two areas of ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’ including the Northumberland Coast with its golden sandy beaches and stunning castles, and the North Pennines, with their heather-covered hills and extraordinary wildlife. Within 15 minutes of Newcastle (by rail or road) is the historic city of Durham and North East England’s other UNESCO World Heritage Site Durham Castle and Cathedral. This major tourist attraction is home to a variety of markets, high street and boutique shops, pubs and restaurants as well as special festivals and events.
The TVX2014 event will be held at Newcastle Civic Centre.
