Original Call for Workshop Proposals (Organisers)
Workshops provide an informal setting where participants have the opportunity to discuss specific TVX topics in an atmosphere that fosters the active exchange of ideas. Workshops should generate ideas that will give the TVX community a new, organized way of thinking about a topic or suggest promising directions for future research. If you are working in an emerging area in TVX, please consider organizing a workshop.

To encourage discussion and interaction amongst participants, workshop organizers should schedule at least half of the time for discussion, interaction or creative exercises.
Presentations should be minimal, and take up no more than half of the workshop time. Additionally, each workshop will be limited to 30 attendees (including organizers) to further foster interactivity.
Each workshop will result in a poster, which communicates the outcomes of the session. These posters can either be created during the workshop itself, if there is enough time, or after the workshop by the organizers. Workshop posters will be displayed during a poster session on the first evening of the conference.
Workshops will be held on the first day of the conference (25th June 2014). Workshops can either be half a day or one full day in length. Accepted workshops might be cancelled or merged with another workshop that addresses a similar topic, if too few attendees (fewer than 6) register.
Workshop organizers should solicit position papers from potential participants. The deadline for the submission of these position papers should be no later than the 31st March 2014 and participants should be notified of acceptance no later than the 20th April 2014. We recommend that position papers should be a maximum of 2 pages in length, in the TVX2014 format (.doc, .PDF).
To encourage industrial participation in TVX 2014 workshops, we would like workshop organizers to consider soliciting alternative forms of submissions from practitioners. For instance, you might allow practitioners to submit a PowerPoint presentation or a short video, describing their position on the topic of the workshop, in place of a traditional position paper.
