{"id":49,"date":"2014-09-09T14:21:49","date_gmt":"2014-09-09T14:21:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tvx2015.com\/?page_id=49"},"modified":"2017-03-10T11:17:27","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T11:17:27","slug":"mentoring-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tvx.acm.org\/2017\/inclusion-accessibility\/mentoring-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Mentoring Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"av_textblock_section\"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock '   itemprop=\"text\" ><h4>MENTORING PROGRAM<\/h4>\n<p>During the TVX submission process, we can provide the<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/strong><em>opportunity to receive feedback and guidance from established researchers<\/em><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">. <\/strong>This year&#8217;s Mentoring program is specifically geared towards<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tvx.acm.org\/2017\/participation\/work-in-progress\/\"><strong>Work in Progress (WiP)<\/strong><\/a> papers,\u00a0so that work that is still in a\u00a0formative\u00a0stage can<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/strong><em>p<\/em><em>rofit from the experience\u00a0of experienced researchers.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the mentorship program\u00a0<em>we get you in contact with a specific member of the community who will provide feedback and support<\/em>\u00a0for your submission.\u00a0Those receiving mentoring will be offered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><strong>Opportunity\u00a0for feedback over Skype from their mentor<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><strong>A commented draft at each stage.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Please note that this is primarily aimed at those who are new to submitting to the TVX community, those in circumstances which are particular adverse (e.g. a disability or personal circumstances which impact upon the paper preparation process), or a particularly novel submission which may require additional input.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<div class='avia-data-table-wrap avia_responsive_table'><table class='avia-table avia-data-table avia-table-1  avia_pricing_default'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/Table\" ><tbody><tr class=''><td class=''><\/p>\n<h4>KEY FACTS<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Deadline for the application is extended by demand, to allow more authors to benefit from this opportunity: <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">6 March 2017<\/span> <b>13 March 2017<\/b>, apply by sending an email to <a href=\"mailto:inclusion@tvx2017.com\">inclusion@tvx2017.com<\/a> with subject: &#8220;TVX 2017 &#8211;
