{"id":2832,"date":"2017-11-09T05:08:33","date_gmt":"2017-11-09T05:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tvx.acm.org\/2018\/?page_id=2832"},"modified":"2017-12-08T17:18:47","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T17:18:47","slug":"program-committee-application","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tvx.acm.org\/2018\/participation\/program-committee-application\/","title":{"rendered":"Program Committee Application"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"flex_column av_one_full  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding first  \" style='border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section\"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock '   itemprop=\"text\" ><h3><b>CALL FOR VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATE CHAIRS<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Applications fo<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>r Technical Program Committee ACs<\/strong> <\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We welcome applications to become part of the TVX 2018 Technical Program Committee (TPC), as Associate Chair (AC). \u00a0ACs play a key role in the submission and review process and help the TPC chairs in shaping the technical program of the conference. \u00a0The application is open to all members of the community, from both industry and academia, who feel they can contribute to this team. \u00a0Our aim is to broaden participation, ensuring a diverse Technical Program C<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ommittee, and to help widen the ACM TVX community to include a full range of perspectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This call is open to new Associate Chairs and to those who have been Associate Chairs in previous years and want to be an Associate Chair again for TV<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">X 2018<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Application for<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">m: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/MbY7GLfJA95i9Nhy1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/MbY7GLfJA95i9Nhy1<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application deadline is <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>December 11, 2017<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Successful <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">applicants will be responsible for arranging and coordinating reviews for around 3 or 4 submissions in the main Long and Short Papers track of ACM TVX 2018, as well as attending the Technical Program Committee meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, in mid-March 2018 (participation in person is strongly recommended). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We welcome applications from academics, industrial practitioners, and senior PhD students, who have expertise in HCI, Multimedia, Social Computing, User Experience, Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and related areas, and who have an interest in topics related to interactive experiences for television or online video. We would expect all applicants to have \u2018top-tier\u2019 publications related to this area. Applicants should have an expertise or interest in one or more topics in our <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">call for papers<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/tvx.acm.org\/2018\/?page_id=2588\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/tvx.acm.org\/2018\/?page_id=2588<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the application deadline, the applicants will be considered and selected for ACs, and the TPC Chairs may invite additional ACs to integrate the team.
