Call for student volunteers<\/h2>
<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Student volunteers (SVs) are an essential part of the working and success of TVX 2019 conference. Being an SV provides a unique opportunity to contribute to organizing a conference as well as to interact closely with TVX contributors, attendees, and your peers, from around the world. As student volunteer, you will also receive a<\/span> free t-shirt and get a full conference pass providing you access to all the paper sessions, workshops, demos, and social events<\/span><\/i>. <\/span>However, travel, accommodation and subsistence (outside of meals provided as part of the conference programme) are not part of the SV benefits. As an SV, you are expected to contribute to around 10-15 hours of voluntary work during the conference.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

How to apply<\/h2>
<\/div><\/div><\/div>
\n

TVX SVs will be chosen via a competitive process. To apply please submit an application to the SV chairs that includes the following information:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Name<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Affiliation<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The title and level (e.g. Masters, PhD) of your current programme of study<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. A brief statement (150 words max) that describes why you would benefit from being an SV at TVX 2019 and how you will make a positive contribution in the role.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Eligibility<\/h2>

    To register as a Student Volunteer at TVX 2019, you must be enrolled as an undergraduate, masters, or doctoral student between January to May in 2019 (e.g., Spring 2019). Students who are graduating at the time of the conference are also eligible to apply. TVX 2019 will be held in Manchester, United Kingdom. If you require travel visas, please note that it is your responsibility. No previous Student Volunteering experience is required to apply, but we are looking for people who are friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

    Responsibilities<\/h2>

    As an SV, you are expected to: – Contribute to around <\/span>10-15<\/span><\/em> hours of volunteer work during the three days of the conference – Be punctual and show up on time to your assigned tasks –<\/span> Attend an orientation session before the conference (afternoon, 4th June) <\/span><\/em>– Wear the SV t-shirt when you are on duty, so people can easily spot you. Be positive, friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
