Conference Background
The ACM International Conference on Interactive Experiences for TV and Online Video (ACM TVX) is the leading international conference for presentation and discussion of research into online video and TV interaction and user experience. The conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, ranging from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering and design to media studies, media psychology and sociology.
For the past five years, ACM TVX has been held in great cities around the world:
- TVX 2014 in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK
- TVX 2015 in Brussels, Belgium
- TVX 2016 in Chicago, USA
- TVX 2017 in Hilversum, The Netherlands
- TVX 2018 in Seoul, South Korea.
- TVX 2019 will be announced soon.
We are looking for candidates for hosting TVX 2020 and beyond. The conference dates should be similar to the other ACM TVX conferences (in June). Particularly strong submissions will include details on plan to engage local universities as well as the technology and/or media industry in the host region. More details on the conference series are available.
Submission Instructions
To be able to objectively decide upon a venue for TVX 2020 (and beyond), we would like you to prepare a proposal following the bidding guidelines (pdf). outlined here:
Proposals to host ACM TVX 2020 or beyond should be sent to the ACM TVX steering-committee at tvx@acm.org, no later than May 18, 2018.
Bids will be evaluated according to the following criteria: location, venue, dates, OC/PC/chairs/organizers, and budget. Decision about future hosts are made by the ACM TVX steering committee. Notification will be sent in July 3, 2018.
