During the TVX submission process, we can provide the opportunity to receive feedback and guidance from established researchers. Mentoring program is geared towards Long and Short Papers, and Work in Progress Papers, so that those who need additional support in their submission can be assisted.
In the mentorship program, we get you in contact with a specific member of the community who will provide feedback and support for your submission. Those receiving mentoring will be offered:
- Up to two opportunities for feedback over Skype from their mentor for Long and Short Papers and one for Work in Progress
- A commented draft per feedback session
The deadlines for applying for mentoring are found in the right-hand column. There are two deadlines for Long and Short Paper mentoring requests. If you wish to receive two feedback sessions and commented drafts for a Long and Short Paper, you must apply by the first deadline. If you only require one session and commented draft, you may apply by the second.
Please note that this is primarily aimed at those who are submitting to TVX for the first time, those in circumstances which are particular adverse (e.g. a disability or personal circumstances which impact upon the paper preparation process), or a particularly novel submission which may require additional input. The aim is to ensure that excellent underlying work is given the best opportunity of being accepted.
Mentors will be members of the programme committee for the respective track (e.g. Long and Short Papers or Work in Progress) that you plan to submit to.
Applications for mentoring can be made by email to the inclusion chairs at: email@example.com. Applications do not need to be in any special format, just an informal email will do. However, it can be helpful in finding the right mentor if you include some information about your paper topic when applying.
